Testimonials

My husband and I first met Liz Birkett when he was hospitalized for cardiac complications following his chemotherapy and radiation treatment. He was very ill and had two lengthy hospitalizations. She came to us at a time when we needed her.

The medical healthcare system today is often lacking humanity and compassion. Having an advocate can often help ease the stress and emotional toll of decision making and choices that have to be made. Liz was visiting us daily and helping us understand what physicians and nurses were advising. She helped us understand and navigate palliative care and the role it played in my husband’s recovery.

Liz was warm, knowledgeable and very empathetic. I believe a nurse advocate is needed for everyone in this situation. Unfortunately my husband lost his battle. I’m very grateful for having received the help and compassion that Liz gave to us through this very difficult journey.

Hi Liz, thank you for kind card. I really appreciate it. Bob's passing happened so fast, thought we would have more time with him. I want to thank you for all your help. You were a shinning light when everything was so dark. As a family we really appreciate all your help and kindness.
