Liz Birkett has practiced nursing for 30 years. Experience includes 20 years in critical care including ICU, CCU, Level 1 trauma and ER, 10 years in case management/care coordination and 5 years as an inpatient palliative care nurse. Additional experience includes pre-op/PACU for an outpatient surgery center, traveling on medical mission trips in Africa, Egypt and Mexico and outpatient palliative care providing home visits. She is a member of the Alliance of Professional Healthcare Advocates and a board certified patient advocate. She feels privileged and honored to utilize her experience and knowledge to assist patients and families through the complexity of medicine.

Tara Deavers has also been a nurse for 30 years. She has spent 18 years in an outpatient surgery center caring for patients in pre-op, PACU and assisting in surgical procedures. She has spent the last 7 years as an inpatient case manager/care coordinator for Mercy Hospital. She is a certified BLS instructor and obtained her certificate in legal nurse consulting assisting patients and attorneys in malpractice issues. She has been a champion for patient advocacy since the onset of her career.
